Bob Sweet has been building in Broome since 2004, but his roots in the trade go back much further. With 36 years of industry experience, Bob is a strong advocate for the local economy, choosing to source 100% of his materials, labour, and equipment from within the region. This approach doesn't just build houses; it creates genuine career paths for trades and supports fellow businesses and helps keep the Kimberley economy strong.

Bob’s attention to detail was evident early in his career when he represented Australia at the WorldSkills Olympics in France, placing 9th globally in Carpentry and Joinery. That same dedication to excellence has seen him become Broome’s most awarded builder, earning more than 80 industry awards for building excellence. Most recently, he was honoured as the 2025 Business Person of the Year by the Broome Chamber of Commerce.

Beyond the worksite, Bob is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of tradespeople. He actively creates career opportunities for local youth, sharing his knowledge to help them build their own rewarding careers in the industry. For Bob, construction is about more than building homes - it’s about creating a lasting legacy of quality, opportunity, and community.

Supervisor

With an infectious enthusiasm and a naturally personable approach, Victor has consistently excelled in his role as Supervisor. As the longest-standing member of the team, having been with Broome Builders since its inception, Victor brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to our mission.

Driven by an unwavering pursuit of excellence, Victor's meticulous attention to detail ensures that every project we undertake reaches the exceptional standards that Broome Builders is renowned for. He maintains a keen focus on maintaining top-order site management, ensuring that every aspect is meticulously executed.

Victor's dedication to the construction industry and our business was recognised with the prestigious Supervisor of the Year award from the Master Builders Association's Building Excellence Awards. His passion lies in creating homes where families can flourish and thrive, emphasising that he doesn't just build houses, but transforms them into homes. One of the most fulfilling aspects of his career is mentoring apprentices and witnessing their growth and success, knowing he has contributed to their future. Victor is known for his remarkable ability to build strong relationships, whether with suppliers, contractors, or our team members but most of all our clients during the home construction process. His daily presence is marked by a warm smile, a contagiously positive attitude, and an unwavering commitment to fostering a supportive work environment. Victor takes great pride in being a part of a family-owned business.

Russell MEADS

Estimator

Russell, our Estimator, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Broome Builder team and of our constructions. With a solid understanding of construction processes, he ensures that every facet of our projects is meticulously handled, a skill honed over years in the industry. Starting as a draftsman, Russell's journey has transcended the drawing board, evolving into a multifaceted professional.

Over the past two decades, Russell has been a key player in the local construction scene, serving in various capacities, including drafting, estimating, operations and project management. His keen eye for detail, developed through years of hands-on experience, ensures the accuracy and aim for precision of our projects from inception ensuring a smooth completion.

Tash FOSKER

Accounts Manager & Construction Admin

Tash, the meticulous Accounts Manager and Construction Administrator at Broome Builders. With a keen eye for detail, Tash ensures that every construction compliance is met when it comes to the construction of your new home.
